The place closed at 9 I got there about 7:30 and there were like 3 people there. I still didn't get good service because everybody was too busy cleaning like they were getting ready to close but it was only 7:30. My biggest complaint was I saw all of these reviews it's on Google that said the food was great and it was the best fish they've ever had and blah blah blah. Take it from me if that's true then people in Tennessee are in desperate need of a good Country Buffet because it's probably the worst one I've ever been to. The food has either been sitting there too long tastes like a can or is Bland. As for the meat selection that everybody keeps talking about they have fish that is fried with too much corn meal the pulled pork sexually pretty good and then they've got three different kinds of chicken strips and some paper thin hamburger steaks really not a big selection.

Very good food! Large variety of meats, vegetables, salad bar, and dessert bar. Everything is fresh and hot on the buffet bar. The servers are polite and prompt. It is very clean. The restrooms are clean too. It is a very large seating restaurant.

After reading an advertisement for the many buffet offerings at Plantations, we drove 135 miles, each way, to dine at this establishment. After checking the Sunday business hours, and seeing that the restaurant was open until 4PM, we felt confident in arriving at 2:45PM. There were 4 employees out front at a table on the building's "porch" smoking. Inside the restaurant, there were 3 occupied guest tables, one of which was just leaving. From the time we arrived, several employees were cleaning and sweeping up, looking like it was closing time. We were seated, and after placing our drink orders, were told to help ourselves. We made one trip to the hot bars, getting as much food as space and availability on the somewhat sparsely stocked buffets allowed. Shortly after our first trip, one of the buffets was closed and emptied. Service from our server, Jennifer, was alright, not stellar, but not bad. The food was alright, but as others have mentioned, not very well seasoned. In our opinion, the food was not worth the drive. The thing that ruined the experience for us though, was the constant cleaning and closing, more than an hour before the posted closing time. If you want to close at 2:30, that's fine by me...just put that time on the sign on the door. If you're going to stay open until 4PM, then stay open until 4PM. And putting a table by the BACK door for your employees smoking pleasure presents a much better image.
