Really nice motel. Room is basic but clean, with Bell Satellite cable and good WiFi. Bed is firm and comfortable. Front desk worker was very nice and friendly. I love the country setting, especially on these nice, cool nights. Other guests seem friendly and a mix of business travelers and couples on road trips. Rates are very reasonable. Would definitely go back.

The motel was clean, amd affordable. Shower was the only negative. Shower head could use CLR and the floor of the shower needs replacing.

Sub-par motel. I booked almost ten rooms with them two years ago for guests coming to my wedding. As guests were checking in it was found they had given one of the rooms away, so those guests had to find last minute accommodations. Very unprofessional. I would not book there if I had another choice.

I stayed 2 nights at this place. Overall cleanliness was ok but I found used soap from past guests on top of the shower and porn dvd's under the dvd player which speaks volumes about how well they clean. The older gentleman that cuts the grass stares at you very creepily while cutting the grass repeatedly in the same damn spots! My first night was ok and uneventful other than having to clean up past guests soap. I decided to have a few drinks late because I was out on business until 3am so when I woke the next day to them calling at 10am reminding me check out was in an hour I asked if I could book a second night. They gave me a bit of attitude which is funny I thought I was helping them out if anything. When I went to pay for the second night they proceeded to tell me I would have to switch rooms that one was booked. I wasnt really happy about having to clean another room for them but switched anyway. The second room was way worse the AC was missing knobs, the bed was smaller, the shower was dirtier. I figured whatever its one more night. I found 5 different types of bugs dead by the air conditioner and had a constant moth problem. During this time 90% of the motel remained empty all but me and a guy who was living there and had a newspaper collection like you wouldnt believe in his car. So I guess my room wasnt booked afterall! They made me move why??? I also watched them clean my old room, no new blankets or sheets were taken in and no old ones were taken out so thats their cleaning in a nutshell for you. I also ran the AC immediately after entering the new room, the room was hot and musty so I also opened a window to help remove the smell.... Well a few minites later my AC shuts off and I called the desk to inform them the breaker blew, nope "close your window and I will turn the AC back on" so now mommy said I cant do that so I had to count on the AC with no knobs to slowly pump the musty air out of the room. That would have been fine if the power didnt go out for 3 hours after as well. If you walk around back, the place is mickey mouse rigged with electricity that I am sure is violating some codes which is how they can control your AC individually. I was promptly told I was not allowed back there and had to move, anyone else finding it odd how they knew my every move!? I checked out the next day on time because I got 3 phone calls between 10 and 11 am telling me I had to check out. I left 2 bags of garbage from my car in the room(I assure you it was bagged) and I was told I was too messy and not allowed to stay at the Pleasant Bates Motel anymore.... Wtf!? Really?? I assume they would prefer if you slept on the sheets and checked out before you woke up the next day without touching anything and then you wouldnt be considered messy. DONT STAY HERE!
