I contacted Plum & Company in December 2016 to help me file my federal taxes.  After a few positive email and phone exchanges, and providing them all of my tax information, I seem to have been completely forgotten about, then totally ignored.  Despite speaking with four different employees at the company over a period of almost five months, I have found myself past the April 18 tax deadline with no taxes submitted, and even worse, a company who seems to be going out of their way to ignore me.  I have received absolutely no explanation, no apology and every time I’ve been in touch via phone or email, no one has ever provided me with requested updates.  I honestly feel like I have been blacklisted from a company for no reason whatsoever.  If they had just refused my business outright (or at any point in the last five months) I could have made alternate plans.  Since they didn’t do this, I (unfortunately) assumed the work was being done and this was just how they operate!   I trusted this company to prepare my taxes as agreed but I’ve been left completely gobsmacked at the lack of professionalism I’ve experienced.  Honestly, if you’re looking for an accountant I would recommend you look elsewhere. Don’t make my mistake.  Find another accountant who will actually value your business.
