Service was a bit slow as they only had 1 order taker for the entire restaurant. But they did have several runners that would step in & assist us. Drinks were good for the most part. Food was good as well. I was really shocked as I was expecting a TexMex vibe for the food. But it was pretty authentic. The Jalepeno bites were a different concept which I really enjoyed! We visited during happy hour where margaritas and other cocktails were $8 $7 b/c it was national tequila day & $2 off appetizers. They came out & sung happy bday your us & gave us free shots! The view from the rooftop want anything special as it's located near the federal building in Chicago. We only saw the back of buildings. I would definitely return for happy hr! Special thanks to Jajaira for assisting us while we were there!
Way too expensive! I ordered a beer on tap - a lil sumpin which was $8. I also ordered the tilapia taco dinner which came with the tacos, some beans and rice. It was decent. Not super fresh and warm but good. Had some flavor. That cost a bit. And then my friend ordered a monitor. Altogether it came out to more than $40. The place is nice cause you have a little elevation but definitely can't be this much for what we got. My advice if you come, and if I ever go back, is to go during Happy hour and that's it. Otherwise, not really worth it.
Enjoyed myself at Panchos rooftop cantina food was excellent. I ordered fajitas and steak tacos. I also ordered a margarita at the bar from Cynthia who had great customer service. She recommended La Toxica drink which is a must have drink.Food: 5/5
By being a local we decided to go get dinner and some drinks, Food was fair and tasty ...can beat #tacos, drinks were well served...but mostly service was excellent, They kept checking up on us and the service was fairly fast. Music...was a mix of old and new trends, Other wise... Yes .. will be back soon.
the was mediocre. The wings didn't have any flavor. The buffalo was the only thing with flavor. My mom had barbacoa tacos s and those were alright. We ordered 40 wings and only the buffalo had taste The server was alright. She didn't come check up on us unless she was bringing food. The music isn't too loud so you can still each other. The rooftop is true but there's no sight. It's pretty fun if you let it. The drinks were really great. Some good flavor in all of them.
Snow was wonderful. I had an excellent dining experience thanks to them. They were attentive, friendly, and ensured that all of our needs were met promptly. They provided great recommendations from the menu and were knowledgeable about the dishes and ingredients. Their positive attitude and professionalism really stood out, making our meal even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return, hoping to have the same great service again.
The two is for the atmosphere. This place was so bad and I'm actually embarrassed I came here for my birthday. The food was mediocre, the service was HORRIBLE especially when they automatically add like a 18% gratuity. I had to ask several people to have my waitress Kassandra come back to the table. The dirty dishes were left on the table. Our appetizers were cleared off finally after sitting in our face for so long but they never took our entrees or drinks that we already had. I then had to hunt her down for the bill. For $269, will not be returning, but again the atmosphere was cute.
A good rooftop restaurant in the loop with a great happy hour. The food portions are huge and with 50% of appetizers for the happy hour they make a great meal! The service is alright, they got the order wrong but we still enjoyed it and they were kind about it. Overall a good experience.Food: 4/5
This restaurant used to be called the Plymouth. Ponchos is a Mexican restaurant. With food and cocktails. I didn't eat here but had their drinks. They have a great happy hour. I got their margaritas. I would get half strawberry and mango. They were delicious. During the happy hour they were $8.00. it is on a roof top, so the views are nice. Especially if the weather is great. Our server was friendly and quick. When you first walk in you take an elevator to the roof top. There are stairs available also.
Stopped here on a whim with my girl! Outside is a little sketchy, like the hood of downtown. However service was exemplary. Kassy was such a nice waitress. She checked on us, suggested entrees and drinks. She was nice and cheery the entire time. Nice music. And you can't beat a rooftop during summertime Chicago!Food: 5/5
