Typical thievery by the big banks. If your balance hovers around zero the bank software tricks kick in. I received an email on 11/15 that my acct was overdrawn and my balance was -49.46. That same evening, $63 was to be auto deposited at midnight. I couldn't sleep and checked my acct around 230 am on 11/16 and I SAW THE MONEY WAS DEPOSITED WITH MY OWN TWO EYES bringing the account to 14.09. I stayed up reading until 5-530 am. I heard two emails come in but assumed it was spam. I woke up later and got ready for work, went to get gas and my card was denied. I checked the balance and it was -19.84. I checked the email; first one said acct was overdrawn and took $36. The second email sent 90 minutes after the first notified me of my $63 deposit. Because there are no time stamps, only date stamps, when you view your acct on line, I went to the closest PNC atm to print out a receipt of the last 10 transactions. I went to PNC first thing in the morning. The teller, low and behold, can see time stamps and I was told the $63 was deposited at 11:19 pm. Once I proved my case, the teller said he'll see IF he can return the fees which he was able to do. And he suggested I apply for a credit card to prevent overdraft issues in the future. Really! At least he suggested it unlike Wells Fargo who went ahead and opened credit card accts without customers knowing. In summary, I received an email about a negative balance, deposited money the same day to rectify the situation, still received another email at 315 am about overdraft fees after I already saw the correct balance on my statement at 230 am, then received the email about my deposit around 430 am. Basically, in the middle of the night they processed their overdraft fees but didn't process my deposit. Gotta love it! To top it all off, I left my card in the atm. Tried to call the branch where I left it to see if someone turned it in but I kept getting transferred to the national call center. Smh!!! Now I don't have an atm card and I'm traveling.
