This review may run counter to some other's experiences, but I have to say what a very positive experience I had today at this PNC location.  And it came as a result of the kindness and professionalism of one particular person.  Her name is Sheila and she's one of the managers at that branch. I had badly fouled up one my accounts and she took the time to help me get things straightened out, including calling the corporate office for additional support.  Sheila could not have been more helpful and friendly, and I greatly appreciate it.  It's amazing how someone being kind and gracious can take an otherwise awkward experience for a customer and turn it completely around.  Thanks, Sheila. I'm going to echo everyone else here. I've been a customer for 17 year and my parents were customers before me. I needed a check because I ran out of them and have them on the way. I walked in and the standard procedure is to walk to the counter hand them your card and tell them you need a check. I was helped by an older gentleman. He asked for my ID (I've done this at least 10 times before at 5 different branches never been asked for my ID) gave him my ID and he stares at it for a while. Then he says you know the address we have on file is for a different location than what your ID says (which isn't true) so I told him my mother was on my account also that's why there was a second address in another state. He gave me a very distrusting look and reluctantly gave me my check and said "you know, if you don't use that check write in big letters void all over it", thanks, I know how to use checks. Here's the kicker, I was charged a $1.50 counter check fee that, again, I've never had any time I've ever done this process. Ridiculous, go to eastgate.

I have used this branch for years due to the proximity to my business. However, I just had the worst customer experience I have ever had there. Granted, the wait time has been getting longer and the overall customer service there has been declining steadily for over a year now, but this "personal banker" that I just interacted with was the worst person I have ever dealt with. She actually held her hand in my face to silence me. She also questioned my rationale for coming to that branch instead of where I opened my account. Had she opened her eyes at some point in the last 15 years, she would have seen me in the branch making a deposit nearly everyday. Super, super poor skill set and it leaves me feeling like I need to make a change.

The last time I used this branch I had just got out of work, had waited an hour for them to open at 0900. I could see people inside talking and carrying on and they wouldn't open the door until 0905 even though I'm standing there in the cold and the wind.  Once inside I again waited another five minutes for a teller (I was the only one inside) and then the woman who helped was extremely rude. I feel bad for someone like that, she had only started her day and she went out of her way to be nasty to me. She made it sound like such an enconvince to get the the money (MyMoney!) for me. I will be avoiding this branch at all costs. They remodeled the outside, maybe they should remodel their employees to or just get rid of the ones who clearly are so unsatisfied with their jobs.
