Had some of the best pancakes in my life at this restaurant. Super buttery and sweet before even adding syrup. Not overly doughy like a lot of breakfast restaurants are. The chorizo omelette was just okay, nothing special about it. The steak over potatoes with avocado was delicious and the fried chicken was good too. The mimosas are pricey in my opinion, $50 for a bottle and juice. I’d definitely come back.
It was a rainy start so we had a nice splash. Small wait but started with excellent coffee strong and fresh. Then the devil eggs and avacodo toast to start. The main deal the brunch burger was made to perfection. Only concern my request for crispy fries they were not and serviced cold. I gave them a one time pass on the . Vegetarian options: Optional items but nice sections
A great place for a nice Mexican breakfast. My general rating for this is 4 stars. However, if I were to rate the chilaquiles alone, I would give them 3 out of 5 stars. No hate to the restaurant, but I think these chilaquiles are meant for an American palate. They are crunchy and taste good, but in my case, I didn't feel any spiciness to them, which is one of the main ingredients of chilaquiles. Chilaquiles without a hint of spiciness? Come on now.
I love this place the avocado toast is so different and the flavor is out of this world. Next chicken and French toast everything is so delicious and fresh it comes with two syrups the habanero one add the perfect heat to the sweet dish. I’ve been multiple times and it always taste amazing.Food: 5/5
Chilaquiles was fine I think because I am usually not a big fan of chilaquiles. Side of refried bean was great. My husband ordered fried chicken and french toast. It was juicy and crunchy but habanero maple syrup was too spicy. If you don’t enjoy spicy that much, it would be better to order regular maple syrup. One thing I didn’t like was they served wrong coffees. We ordered cafe de olla but they served regular brewed coffee. Anyway we want to try different dishes so we are going to back anytime soon.
The food was delicious & the staff was very friendly. They are bilingual so everyone can go & enjoy their lovely restaurant with family. We will be back!!Food: 5/5
Café de olla was very traditional and perfectly made. Shakshuka was our favorite, very flavorful. Great find for a casual brunch with great price/quality in PilsenFood: 4/5
Atmosphere: Cozy and esthetically pleasing. I was lucky enough to be seated in the booth by the window; Has a great view of the whole restaurant. Service: My server was kind, prompt, and helpful. He was knowledgeable about the menu's items and had great recommendations. Food: The server highly recommended the Frutas French Toast- it was both pleasing to look at and tasty. It was the right amount of thick and fluffy and a complimentary cream that's not overly sweet. The fruit was fresh, important to note. The reason I gave 4 stars however was due to the roasted house potatoes that came with my Rajas Omelette. The potatoes tasted slightly overcooked and stale like they had been left out and reheated- if you know, you know. Aside from that, the omelette with mushrooms added was very savory.
My first meal upon moving to Chicago. Incredible flavors. The sourdough bread is incredible. Friendly staff. Olenka was so sweet and kind. Can’t wait to come back!Food: 5/5
