Very basic older style hotel. Extremely inexpensive if your on a budget. No meals included. Parking extra as is WiFi. Just the basics in room. Older bed. Older television. Nothing fancy. Still, if your tight on cash I would highly recommend as it's the best rate going.

If I could give this - stars I would!! We arrived at this hotel and the customer service was quite rude to begin with. When we reached our room, the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke and there was dirt/grass all over the carpet. Inside the room there was a small fan, no air conditioner, the toilet wouldn’t flush, there was hair found in the sick and bathtub. When we made a complaint they refused to return the money for that night before it was passed 4pm. We are from a different province and not arrived at 6:30 so we were extremely upset!

Having stayed at the PPL on three occasions now and I can tell you, I have never had an issue. The rooms are clean and quiet. The price, especially for its location, is unbelievable! The food was second to none. The staff were externally helpful and courteous. Staying at the PPL allows you to focus on what’s truly important

Hidden gem in the heart of Halifax for those that need the service it provides. Found the rooms to be cleaner than most major chains. It's like they have higher standards due to the clients they serve. Staff was excellent and the food was great.

Very nice and helpful desk staff. Accommodations are simple but very clean. One suggestion. There should be free WiFi like everywhere else these days.
