Easily accessible through the Queen’s Park TTC station, this spot is a great option for both lunch and dinner. They offer plenty of preset options as well as build your own for around $15-20 per bowl depending on the size you get and your toppings. The regular option was already a great portion. My favourite preset option is the original poke box with both salmon and ahi tuna. I just wish the dining area was a bit nicer. Vegetarian options: They offered a tofu medley and build your own options without poke fish for vegetarian and vegan options. Wheelchair accessibility: Located within a larger building, this establishment is wheelchair accessible through the elevator towers down to the lower level.
My favorite place to grab a lunch poke bowl, the lava blaze was amazing! The portions are large, good enough for two people or two meals. It’s mostly take out. You can order ahead online.
Haven’t poke in so long, so I’m glad I found this place! Got their Big Umami bowl with sushi rice base in regular size for $15.30, and I’m impressed! Really enjoyed the filling meal, and all the ingredients were super fresh! The only thing is that some of the rice was a bit clumped together, so maybe I’ll get a different base next time.
ordered via Ritual app ordered from here 3x now and every time my order is on the counter waiting for me love the zucchini noodle base - it’s great doinf 1/2 noodles and 1/2 rice generous portions of salmon & tuna bowls are delicious and ingredients are always fresh
Really fresh and tasty poke bowls - I eat a lot of poke but this is definitely one of the best I've had in downtown Toronto. They are very generous with the fish and toppings and I love how they don't marinate the fish so you can really taste how fresh it is. Their signature bowls like Big Umami or The Poke Box are fantastic, highly recommend!
It is easily the best tasting and probably healthiest food option in the building. The MARS building nearby has some decent ones too. However the price is just outrageous. Used to be affordable just 2 years ago, but now you gotta spend over $20 for a lunch here. The price gouging here is unreal. They know they're the best option around... Owner is having a nice time $$$ EDIT - Response to Owner: I cant directly reply below theirs, so here it is. That prices have increased by <15 % is completely false. Price increases range from 29% - 36 % on Poke Bowls. See below all prices excl tax I have a photo of their prices from almost exactly 2 years ago. Big Umami Reg/Lrg: $12.8 / $ 16.4. Now: $ 16.8 / $ 21.1 The Poke Box Reg/Lrg: $12.8 / $ 16.4. Now: $ 16.8 / $ 21.1 California Dreaming Reg/Lrg: $11.3 / $14.3. Now: $15.4 / $18.4 ... etc Miso Soup w/ poke bowl purchase did go from $ 1 to $ 0.5, which is nice.
A solid poke bowl fresh and tasty but unfortunately a recent victim of shrinkflation, the regular has gotten smaller in new containers. Been coming occasionally when I don’t pack a lunch since they opened. At $19 after tax it’s quite steep for a lunch and I will reconsider next time I need a lunch. In response to the bowl size. The packaging may be the quoted larger volume sizes but the volume of what was filled into the packaging of my bowl was definitely not the same as before. There was definitely more base and a bit more toppings before than what I got last week.
Poke bowls here are so good. It's inside the food court, and there's only seating outside in the food court. Choose your size and number of proteins. Lots of options. The hours are limited due to location and they open just before lunch. Vegetarian options: Lots of options. Parking: Parking is paid and expensive. TTC is an option.
First time trying a poke box. If you like sushi you’ll like this. Very fresh fish, made to order. Variety of options and toppings. Can add mixed greens instead of rice. I always get the miso soup with it.
Generous portions, fresh ingredients, good food, decent pricing! Favourites are the classic Poke Box and Big Umami.Food: 5/5
