We offer a family atmosphere featuring pork, chicken, ribs, and brisket. Plenty of sides to choose from, so come on and try us out!

Story

Open Thursday through Sunday, opens at 11am each day, and closes at 7pm on Thursday and Sunday, and closes at 8pm on Friday and Saturday. Open Labor Day and Memorial Day. Call to check schedule for July 4th and New Year's Day. Open the first 3 Wednesdays in October. Closed Thanksgiving Day, but open on the Wednesday before. We feature pork, ribs, chicken, and brisket, with plenty of sides to choose from.

I had the pork sandwich with fries and slaw, sweet tea. The service was great, by the  time we fixed our drinks the food was brought to us! It was hot and delicious, and generous portions. I needed a to go box, so that's another meal! Great value! The only "downer" was there were 2 soap dispensers in the ladies room but neither had soap. It was busy, so it's understandable (I had Purell in my purse). It's a convenient location too. I'm getting a "pig on the hill" next time, I already have a t-shirt!

Our family stopped here on our way through town. We love eating at local restaurants that you can't find anywhere else while we travel. Poole's did not disappoint. This may be the best pulled pork I've ever had.

Excellent BBQ chicken. The place did look questionable to us with the 70s car creations, but we were assured that it was worth a try. We may grab some ribs on the way back through.

We were traveling through East Ellijay and looking for a place to stop and eat on a Sunday afternoon. We passed all the usual places, Chik-Fil-A, McDonald's and the multitude of others when we spotted the bright yellow building with large red BBQ lettering on the side along with the Pig Hill of Fame. After a moment of discussion we made a U-Turn at the next traffic light and decided to give it a try. 

WOW, we have been to BBQ joints all over the country and have found many we love but this one is definitely at the TOP of our list. We have now made this a regular stop on our trips nearby. 

Staff is friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely done to perfection. The portion sizes are enough for two full meals but we each order a plate and feast until we can't hold anymore and then take the ample leftovers to have for lunch at work the next day. Our co-workers are always envious of our meal when they smell it warming up in the microwave the next day. 

Poole's BBQ is definitely a WINNER for us!
