When I was young, my dad went to their local donut shop and got a dozen donuts every Saturday. From those Saturday morning memories, a love of donuts and tradition was born.
Every time Denise and I would visit a new city, I'd look for a donut shop to visit to get ideas and of course, EAT the donuts! One time in Chicago we looked and looked but couldn't find a donut shop anywhere. One night we were walking across a bridge to our hotel and I saw a smidgen of pink and orange out of the corner of my eye. "There it is!" I yelled. "I found a donut shop!" And sure enough, there was a Dunkin' Donuts across the river.
