Built in 1964, the Poplar-White Station Library is one of the only Memphis branches that operates in a business district, as opposed to a residential one. Although no longer available, the branch once implemented a drive-through window where citizens could pick up and drop off books. Today, the library serves retirees, elementary school students, and everyone in between through hosting book clubs and organizing a wide variety of after-school activities.
