We stopped for desert and coffee. The brownie bottom cheesecake had a microscopic layer of what they called cheesecake. Some kind of frosting or something. I really really wanted a piece of cheesecake. We arrived 1/2 hour before close .The waitress would not make decaf coffee. Would have been nice with cake. Like it cost them $0.29 to make a pot. Selling one cup would've paid for it. The waitress said well we're about to close. That is not the way to get repeat customers. She wasn't paying for it out of her own pocket. Ridiculous closing time. They still had customers. Must not want to make money'.

Got the wings w/sour cream, french dip sandwich and the Port O'Call burger. Everything was great. Service was awesome! Will stop again when in the area. My husband and I enjoyed it very much.

Our medium rare steak was brought to us well done. This was doubly disappointing with the snarky comment about not ordering well done steaks on the menu. The swordfish was also overcooked. By the time they brought us a new steak (medium... not medium rare), everyone had finished their entrees. No adjustment was made on the bill. Drinks (old fashioneds) were inconsistent and dull. We would recommend beers on the deck, but go somewhere else for dinner.

The service was good, but the food was really disappointing. If you froze a diner in 1970 and reanimated it in 2017 with no changes, you'd have Port O'Call. My wife, a former waitress, said the food was "insulting."

The walleye was really delicious and huge portions. We also had the ribeye steak and it was huge as well and done to perfection. Great food and great service and the out door patio is always the way to go
