There really isn't that much shopping in Porterville. Your options are very limited. Even the food options are limited. There is better shopping in Visalia or Bakersfield. Unfortunately Porterville just has not expanded enough or added enough variety for shopping yet, but hopefully they will continue to bring in more new stores.

What you'd expect from the average American strip mall: replete with big box retailers, local and chain quick bite options, and a McDonalds to boot

The carnival is not outragously overpriced. There are a bunch of rides for kids of all ages.
