I had such a great time! Everything was really good, but my favorites were the beef hotdog, the Maxwell Street Polish sausage, and their famous chocolate cake! The staff here are so warm and definitely tend to all your needs. They do their absolute best to make your visit a positive experience and I appreciate that so much. I can’t wait to go back and bring friends!

Saw someone ruin a Chicago dog here but more about that later. If you want something incredible order the "Big Italian Beef, quick dip but also ask for gravy on the side, cheese sauce and both hot and sweet giardiniera." Of course you will also need a cake shake. The ruined hot dog is in my pictures.

This place has the best milk shake I have ever had. The Cake Shake. It has a very old school theme and nice ambient atmosphere to enjoy a meal. They also have amazing hot Dogs and are know for their cakes. The Cake Shake has chunks of delicious chocolate cake on the bottom that you have to dig out with a spoon. Go check them out.

This place is so good! They have some amazing hamburgers here. If you like crinkle cut fries then this is your place as well. I tried their cake shake and it was so delicious. Definitely worth a try.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes

#1 with peppers dipped. Can't go wrong with Portillo's for your Italian beef. Dipped in gravy the bread absorbs all that juice and flavor, falling apart in your mouth and dripping down your chin. Juicy, savory, beefy goodness in every bite.

Great experience! Great atmosphere and delicious food. Hotdogs, Polish sausage, and the beef dip were all excellent. Yes. I had all three of them. Don’t miss the chocolate cake either.

Great atmosphere and decor. My husband is from around Chicago so it was exciting for us. Great quality food. Friendly staff and clean surroundings.

Service was terrible which is really weird because they have Soo many people working there, my order was ready but they never called my number i was standing there for almost 10 minutes until I approached the counter to check & my order...& it was sitting there, the same bag I saw them place there 10 minutes earlier... Now for the food..we  ordered chicken tenders combo, chicken tenders were pretty decent size but unfortunately we're bland no flavor, french fries on the other hand were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Then ordered two different chili dogs One skinless & one with skin and I honestly could not taste the difference between portillo's and wienerschnitzel... I'm sorry but do these chilli cheese dogs look appetizing in my photos?, to make matters worse they placed them upside down in my bag But I definitely noticed the price after everything was said and done it came out to almost $25.00 One other thing that was pretty disappointing was as my kids & I went to wash our hands The men's restroom had such strong smell of urine that we walked rite out & used our own hand sanitizer...Nobody there seemed to care or  wanted to clean it.. so it's probably safe to say our family won't be patronizing this establishment anytime soon again.

I recently tried the Big Italian Beef sandwich at Portillo's Hot Dogs in Buena Park and I was blown away by how good it was. The sandwich was loaded with tender, slow-roasted beef that was dripping with juice and flavor. The beef was topped with sweet peppers and a tangy giardiniera, and served on a soft, fresh Italian roll.  The sandwich was huge and filling, and the combination of flavors was absolutely delicious. I couldn't get enough of the spicy giardiniera and the tender, juicy beef.  In addition to the Big Italian Beef sandwich, I also tried a few of their famous Chicago-style hot dogs, and they were equally delicious. The hot dogs were juicy and flavorful, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful.  Overall, I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food at Portillo's Hot Dogs in Buena Park. If you're a fan of Italian beef or hot dogs, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

If you're craving a hometown  Chicago dog or beef dip, then baby your home. Authentic  love coming here, clean, friendly atmosphere, and they serve beer. Great place to eat. Alone of choices and everything is good.  Kid-friendliness: Great place to bring the kids lots to look at to keep them entertained  Parking: Big parking lot and they have a drive through  Wheelchair accessibility: No steps and two big doors lots of room to move around
