Nice library, but their hours show that Portland really isn't all that devoted to providing this to the people. I mean, I see the library quite full at 6:45 and the robot voice telling everyone to get ready to leave. (Uhh... I'm studying and reading! You want me to stop? lol perfect library.) And never open on Sundays? Please. This isn't 1918, people can come to your library on a Sunday. And that is bad for your image. It makes it look like you don't care about "common people" that work Monday through Friday and can't get in during your regular hours. Nice people and they have inter-library exchange which is great. But I truly miss living in cities with libraries with appropriate hours.

The staff here is so energetic and helpful. I have heard them respond with compassion and charm to the most inane and frustrating (to me) kinds of problems. The 3D printing, is a phenomenal service and the children's section is a rare gem. Way to go PPL!

Nice place to sit and relax. The bookstore is a steal with books costing $2 for paperbacks and $4 for hardcovers.

Children's section is great. Studied here with my three kids. Clean and nicely decorated.
