I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at Portofino was wonderful from the moment I walked in the door. The staff were very warm and friendly and made me feel comfortable from the get go. Everyone was very knowledgeable about all the different tanning machines and were able to suggest the best equipment for my needs and skin type. They were very careful to educate me on the dos and don’ts before using the machines, and stressed the importance of not tanning for too long in the beginning. I especially loved that they offered me free sunscreen for my face nice touch Portofino!

I received the best Dysport treatment from Dr. Champagne and had an amazing laser hair removal session with RN Casey!  They're both extremely professional and very welcoming! I highly recommend!!

So I went to get a custom spray tan and the price was a bit much but was willing to pay for a good pretty tan.  I ended up buying all the add ins-the lotion, a pre spray to make it looks better, a scent, blah blah blahyou get my point-there were so many other prices.  I left there paying a hefty bill of over 250 dollars-i bought a pair of shorts, etc.  

I was happy with my tan-however it didn't come off evenly but that was probably my fault because I guess I wasn't supposed to use oil-i'm not complaning about that....it looked great for the most part..

A MONTH after my tan-yes a month...a girl calls from the santa monica store, where I got my spray and says that she was looking back at the records and that the girl who rang me up forgot to charge me for my scent (5 dollars)..and would it be okay for them to charge me 5 dollars with the card number i used to hold it???????? First of all this is like a 100 dollar spray tan and they are calling me a month later-not a day-not a week-to inform me that since they made a mistake they need to charge my card...That is absolutely ridiculous. I was shocked and got off the phone without approving it saying i would call back and i tried calling to manager.

She called me back a week later and kept on saying "well it was the girls mistake but we still need to charge you"....I said NO it was Their mistake and quite frankly i think it is bizarre that a place with such GREAT REVIEWS and has a great reputation would chase me down for five dollars that they supposedly forgot to charge me for-look at my bill lady it was over 250 dollars..

it was bizarre-i wont be going back.
