We moved to this area a few months ago. The library was one of our first stops to learn more about the area. 
The building is small. There are computers and a printer. Even though there aren't many books housed on site, it is easy to request a book that will be shipped in from another library. It usually takes a couple days for a request to arrive. They have a great program for younger children. 
The lovely ladies at the library are very welcoming.   They work very hard to make everyone's experience a good one.

Who would think a quaint little library could be the central point of a life changing moment? Well, that is exactly what happened for my mom and me during our recent visit to the Powhatan Point Library in Powhatan Point, Ohio. This was a "coming home" of sorts for my mom, who was born in this town more than 70 years ago. At the door of the library, we were greeted with a kind and warm welcome by a beautiful librarian and her amazing assistant, who shared history, pictures and great books about this town that helped fill voids from my mom's past. The journey to Powhatan Point, Ohio was indeed magnificent and the time spent in this quaint little Library was truly life changing and will be cherished forever.
