Prairie Village Museum is open to the general public May 15 - Sept. 15 and by appointment for school and group tours May 1 - Sept. 30. The museum consistis of 23 historic buildings and six exhibition halls arranged around a quaint village square.

Stop. If you pass it, back up. This is a fantastic and vastly underrated look back in history. I don't care if you hate history, I virtually guarantee you will enjoy your time here. No. I do not own it or work there. I was cruising down historic U.S. 2 and nearly drove past it. I am SO glad I did not keep going. A truly enjoyable experience.

this museum has made history fresh! love working demonstrations and hands on history. great for kids of all ages!

Very impressive museum with a lot of unique items on display. Stopped by on my way to an auction and was pleasantly surprised at the abundance of history being preserved at this museum. Highly recommend!
