Inside of The old mill Inn. Was an amazing lil Presidential lounge. It had pictures of different presidents that had visited over the years. The wife n I had lunch at one of the nice restaurants inside the hotel. The architecture is amazing! Over 100 years old hotel. But it looks great. And we tried the cupcake shop for a custom dessert. So if you are looking for a beautiful hotel to stay at , or some fine dining and you are in the riverside area. Make reservations and check them out. You will not be disappointed.
This review is as a Riverside resident: We ordered the sidecar and the Rob Roy, as a cocktail bar for the price point, this place is really lacking. The cocktail creativity is low, the ice surface area is high instantly watering your drink down by half, the bottles in stock are all mid range quality, and the food apps aren’t as good as those available in the other Mission Inn Restaurants the calamari in the mission inn restaurant is superior in cut and flavor but the fry job and coating are the same. I would recommend going to one of the restaurants in the Inn for a drink instead of the lounge.
The bartenders know what they're doing. The cocktails are top notch. The atmosphere is great. The food is really good. A little pricey but if you have the extra cash, it's worth it.
The drinks lacked Character, and the Miniscule, $22.00, chicken meatball appetizer was cold. The host made us wait till the minute of our reservation, despite many open tables, including ours, having been open for at least 30 minutes. The baked potato with the New York strip steak was served cold. There were a few bright spots, however. Most notably the lamb was served served to perfection.. The complimentary anniversary/birthday dessert was delicious, and our waitress Allison, was the best! We have no plans to return anytime soon.
The Mission Inn is the main attraction for the City of Riverside. So it's no surprise that the bar would be of main event status as well. I've personally seen 3 celebrities at the bar, and have heard of several others being in there as well. The hotel has been the home away from home for past Presidents, Royalty, and celebrities. The annual Festival of Lights brings upward of 90,000 people to Downtown Riverside on black Friday. Must see to appreciate.
Great place to start or end your night. Never disappointed, service and wine selection great.
It's in The Mission Inn and therefore a bit pricey. But the mix was great and the service 5 star. Friday night there are a few regulars that add to the ambiance, so yes I will go back. The signature presidentally named cocktails truly are Commander in Chief level! The Margarita photo is the next day same beverage, but at the adjoining restaurant.
They gave us a horrible table and then without we saying anything they move us a for a better table!
This place is great. I am already a huge fan of the Mission Inn and the Presidential Lounge really sets the bar high for bars/lounges. The bartenders are amazing, they are very attentive as well. Highly recommend!
Over priced ! One bottle of beer and a cheap shot of whiskey 20 dollars REALLY ! Never going back !!
