During the aftermath of hurricane Irma the daycare closed an entire week. They charged parents full price anyway stating that they need to pay their staff for their hardships. While I understand that the staff was in need, the parents did not get service and no alternative care was offered. Many of us parents, too, had power outages and were displaced. We lost food and had to pay for our damaged homes. Primrose did nothing to relieve the parents from this burden. Instead they stated that the parents were informed during orientation. Primrose Longwood clearly cares for their staff, but not the parents.

Please note that my review is not based on the quality of care provided but on my experience during the enrollment process and while on the waiting wish which we subsequently chose to remove ourselves from. Long story short, I have concerns about the lack of professionalism and organization of this particular primrose location. If these things are important to you read on. Hopefully this feedback will allow them to improve their processes to better serve families in the future. Red flag number 1- Prior to my son being born I asked to schedule a tour here, I was told that I could only do so during very limited hours. As a working mother this was inconvenient and I was unable to come by at a time that made sense for most working parents....which is what they cater to. What are you hiding by only allowing tours at certain times? However, months later I did decide to drop in when we were considering other childcare options. Concern #2- At that point we elected to go on the waiting list by paying the $100 preregistration fee and completing the preregistration forms. Our check was cashed and we were told we were second on the waiting list for the toddler room. I called back about a month later to follow up. During this call with the director she did not know who my child was or where he was on the list. She took his name to research and called me back and shared that we were third... Not sure how we went from second to third. When I brought that to her attention she quickly said we were second without any other form of verification as if she was just throwing out a number to get me off of the phone. She said their list was not up to date and people come off and on it frequently. Despite my patience I found her to be dismissive When money is involved with preregistration forms and fees there should be absolutely no confusion about who my child is, and where he is at on a list. This information should be organized and readily available. We decided to take him off of the list, the check that was returned to us was a personal check from the business owner with my name spelled wrong. Again... all the forms we filled out had my name clearly written on them. Concern #3 I had to go back in to get a corrected check and while there waiting a teacher was being questioned and reprimanded to the point of almost tears in front of parents coming and going. They were discussing this child by name to the point that I could hear the entire issue without effort on my part. As a parent i'd be upset that my child was being discussed publically. It wasn't the time or the place for that discussion. It was awkward, unprofessional and not a positive environment that I wanted my child in. When given the corrected check by the owner, I shared my concerns about the waiting list process. While doing so she asked me twice if my child was CURRENTLY enrolled and attending.... No... thats why we are getting a refund of our preregistration fee. She clearly wasn't listening to the feed back that was being provided. I felt that we would just be one of a number in their bank. Meanwhile, my child continues to thrive at a privately owned daycare down the street.

Fantastic place, more than a daycare. Learning and exposure is always taking place. Extremely positive environment and ultra clean.

My husband and I recently enrolled our son in Primrose after a negative experience with a different daycare. They are so welcoming and hands on with our 4 month old and do a good job keeping the parents up to date with where your child is at. We couldn't ask for a better daycare!

We wish we had found Primrose sooner for our daughter. She was at a preschool where the teacher couldn't handle our daughters special needs. When she accused my child of stealing money in front of me we pulled her out. She was only 3 at the time! We have been so happy at Primrose since. They make everyone feel like family. My now 5 year old goes to camp there and the extended day program during the school year. Our 9nth old loves it there too! I love the activities they do with the children, love the safe playground and really LOVE the splash pad!
