Building was historic and beautiful, but that also meant the rooms could be a bit nicer. They were very large and clean, but could be updated. Breakfast was AMAZING. Usually breakfast buffets don't do so well with scrambled eggs, but these ones were perfect. The pastry selection was fantastic. Only complaint was the lack of juices. Location is amazing if you want to see the Sleeping Giant and walk along Lake Superior - there is a pedestrian bridge from the parking lot to a lakeside park.

ABSOLUTE WORST HOTEL. LOUD GUESTS AT ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT. walls are paper thin you can here absolutely everything. The entire building shakes when guests close there room door because THE DOOR IS CLEARLY TO BIG FOR THE DOOR FAME. So you have to slam it shut. No heating in the rooms. No concern for the guests complains what so ever. ZERO STARS never stay here do not waste your money.

Pretty basic accommodations. Not the nicest area. Close to the casino, if you're into that sort of thing.
Stayed here to fly using the Thunder Bay airport. (Turned out to be NOT at all close to it.) Price was good but I wouldn't stay here again. They don't actually have an airport shuttle. They send you by cab with a voucher ONLY ONE WAY unless you stay there before AND after your air travel. No air conditioning in room. Basically clean. No enforcement of guests to not be loud and unruly. They did let me park the car there for free for 4 days while traveling elsewhere by air, and my car was fine when I returned so I guess that's worth something.

Went to the buffet in the dining room. The prime rib was excellent. The rest of the buffet was pretty good. Salad bar wasn't very big, but there were lots of dessert options. Everything was very clean.

Great room overlooking the lake. Nice size and very clean and cared for. Water pressure for shower varied...could use some work!  Overall a great historical hotel ..we'll cared for.  A lot of negative reviews I read on this hotel were UNFOUNDED.  Will definitely return.
