Just when I thought I was the only one having issues with this company. In March of this year my husband and I purchased a brand new car. In April someone “insured” by this company hit our car. With my husband being the one driving of course they needed to talk to him and get his version of what happened. Unfortunately in July he was deployed. I had not heard from this company until August. As I opened the letter I finally had a name and number of someone to contact. I called the guy and as we were talking he says “Let me see who’s handling this claim. Oh, it’s me.” Like what in the world is really going on. He has me go through steps in using an app to take pictures of the damage our car incurred. I do so and just a week ago from today I get a letter from the appraisal company saying that the claim was denied. I look at the name on the claim and realized the person “insured” was not the person we got into the accident with. Yesterday my insurance calls me and says that they further reviewed the claim after receiving the letter of denial to find out the car at fault was not even insured. My insurance is now handling it. Today I receive a letter from Pro General saying they haven’t been able to reach me in regards to the claim and so forth. I call the number on the letter sent (which was a different person than the first time). The lady asks me if we had the car repaired and that they couldn’t do anything since they are unable to speak with my husband. I tell her that my insurance is handling the case because the car at fault was not insured. She goes on to say how she hasn’t talked to the party insured with them and they hadn’t received anything showing if the policy was active during that time. Yet she goes on and says just go on and get it handled through your insurance because if you don’t they’ll make you pay the deductible and so forth. They are extremely unhelpful, unprofessional, and just plain out a pain. Glad we had great insurance and it is finally being taken care of after 5 months.

The absolute wrost company to have a claim with, the reps are all rebot trained to lie and tranfer you over 5 times in one call. I have never experience so much difficulties calling an insurance company. They should not be in business, if I could give them no stars, I would!!

Oh my i wouldn't recommend this company to my dead dog. The customer service sucks i called over 8 times only to be hung up on at least 7 of those calls. I have reprted a claim over a month ago and i still get the same run around no one ever calls because they are always do busy. I'm in the process of reporting them to the BBB. They take your money then treat you like 💩💩. I literally hate my insurance company

Was hit by this women who has this companys insurance. They somehow know when I'm not by my phone and every time I call them back I use the ext. that's left in my voicemail and every time it goes straight to the claims persons voice mail. I mean seriously. Ps. Look these people up on BBB if you want a laugh

I'm only giving 1 star because I'm not able to give negative stars.... I truly feel sorry for anyone who has the extremely unfortunate displeasure of interacting with this unprofessional and obstuse "company". After 8 months of constant back and forth, multiple claims representitive- I felt I was entering some sort of surreal work of fiction. Is this 100 Years of Solitude? No, Just "1 Year of Ineptitude"- "Feliz Navidad Children, you were hit by a Pro General customer in Julio but it's almost Christmas and Pro General hasn't closed your case yet..." jajaja..... "Is this reality? Can a company be so completely devoid of urgency and concern that this experience is actually happening?" "Is it possible that I can speak with one person then call back to have the new person tell me the original person no longer works there, On three occasions.... 3 times... Yes, people just quit 3 times... Wonderful!" I bet they have more turn over than bacon at a diner... but this experience didn't taste like delicious bacon, No, not at all... it just felt like the heart attack that bacon gives you 30 years in the future. I thank them for the grey hairs they gave me. Pro General you are the Rip Van Winkle of Insurance.... if only you would go to sleep for so long everyone would be happy ... Yes, it is possible such a bad company exists and Pro General Insurance is the company that will make your surreal nightmares come true. I was rear ended by one of their customers and it took almost 1 full year for them to send me a letter stating that this person was not insured by them. Simply amazing. The heights of their laziness actually went from making me angry to making me laugh. I've rarely encountered such stultifying incompetence in all my born days. The obsfucation, the shirking of responsibility and the out and out lies they are so finely tuned with this company that at the end of this ordeal I actually began to admire their absurdity.... The only way to make them actually do anything is to 1) hire a lawyer 2) have your insurance company attack them 3) File a claim with the California Insurance Board.... These performance artists posing as insurance agents will hang up on you and even hang up on your insurance representatives.... I wish them well and I hope they do stay in business some how, not because they are a good company by any stretch of the imagination but because they are so unmitigatedly terrible as a company that the world needs this derelict mess of an organization to juxtapose good insurance companies with. Avoid them as if your life depended on it.
