Project R.O.C.K. South Inc., is a "Drop Out Prevention" program for students grades k-12 suspended from St. Lucie Public school.
Project R.O.C.K. South provides a safe, nurturing environment for suspended students. Students are given credit for attending the program and are not marked absent in school. Students are able to complete their school homework assignments in a timely manner with professional staff members to assist.
In addition students participate in group and individual sessions in the areas of: Anger Management, Self-Esteem, Drug/Alcohol Abuse, Teen Health, and Bullying.
Admission Requirement:
Notice of suspension and or referral letter from a St. Lucie County Public School.
Social Security card
Student MUST be registered by parent/legal guardian.
Our Mission is to provide the students of the St. Lucie County School District an educational and behavior modification program for at-risk students in jeopardy of not graduating and suspended students that face an interruption of their educational journey. Through documented instruction in a safe and structured environment and with network agencies that provide additional support, we instill self-worth and build positive behaviors for our students.
The program is funded and supported by The Children's Services Council of St. Lucie County, and The United Way of St. Lucie County.
