The Star Bar is a restaurant and full bar located in the Prospector Theater in Ridgefield, CT. Our mission is to provide hands-on job training to adults with disabilities, all while serving up delicious, fresh food and drink. Come visit us for dinner before heading in to see a movie!

Such a wonderful place to see a movie. The building itself is really a great space, but the real reason for its existence is to employ people with disabilities of all kinds and give them the opportunity to have a job doing many different things related to the running of a movie theater, including baking fresh goods that are sold on premises, popping fresh popcorn all day, and of course selling tickets, ushering and cleaning up after each show. The shows are priced fairly along side other theaters in the area, or even a little lower, to see first run movies with fresh snacks, coffee, beer, wine in a new theater with very comfy seats spaced nicely apart so everyone can see the screen. This was our first visit and definitely not our last. We will be happy to drive from Ardsley to see movies so we can support this unique, ground breaking theater.

It's the best place ever to see a movie. Most important is their mission to employ and help individuals with special needs. The architect who designed and built the place should have statue in the the lobby. The seats are ultra comfy and the place is spotless. The use of buildings material both hard and soft are outstanding. In addition to the concession stand is a full serve coffee shop. You have to visit to absorb the full experience.

This place is amazing. When you walk in all of the prospects are so happy. They are some of the nicest people I have ever met. The bake goods are really good. I highly recommend the shortbread. Wow. If this is not a clean theater to you then you have some high standards. This place was spot less. The popcorn was good, not to salty. Moderate prices and all money goes to the prospects mission. I would not even think twice about going back. Looking forward to making this place a usual place to go to the movies, and yes I live a hour away. Believe me this place is worth it.

Incredible mission and a great theater. I’m so glad I found this place. Won’t see a movie anywhere else. The staff are amazing.

Everyone is very nice there. The most important thing is they support those with special need.
