Best pizza in the entire KC metro area. It’s pretty close to New York style pizza. There is an option to order pizza ahead of time, which can save you time. However, the Slater Mill pizza tasted more like fancy garlic bread than actual pizza.Food: 5/5
The wings and cheese bread are so good! The pizza of the day looked incredible but I had already ordered to much food as it was. Staff was very friendly, online ordering was simple and straightforward, the restaurant itself is clean and organized. Also prices were super reasonable! Definitely plan to go back!
Providence Pizza? Yeah, the rumors are true. These guys are amazing! They're easily one of the best pizza places around! We're talkin' I drive half an hour for them, and its more than worth it every single time. Our favorite has gotta be their East Coast specialty on their New York thin crust. Doesn't it look pretty? Well, it tastes even better! Apparently, their mozzerla is house made, and I can tell! Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Bacon, Mushrooms, an the basil gives that extra pop of color and sweetness. However, it gets put WAY over the top with that ricotta an hot honey! It's just so insanely good for me. Also, side note: Sometimes I'll get a sidecup of buffalo sauce for the crust. I'm pretty sure that's housemade too 'cause I can't believe how much flavor it has. Their wings are stellar, too. Huge and perfectly cooked, and on Tuesdays the wings are half off!
Some of the best pizza in KC. They have NY style and Detroit style. Whole pizzas, pizza by the slice or calzones. Excellent sauce and crust, wood fried ovens, and fast serviceFood: 1/5
Some of the best pizza over ever had! It's more traditional style, but they have lots of options and Jay about everything sounds and looks absolutely delicious! They sell pizza by the slice and have it behind the window so you get to see what it actually looks like, and everything looks great!Food: 5/5
Went in for the first time in a month, they have reduced their 10$ large cheese special by almost half the size. The second we bit into our slices the cheese was rubbery and chewy. The taste was awful. Extremely disappointed, usually they’re extremely good used to go there weekly for months straight.Food: 1/5
We really liked the pizza, will be a go to spot for us for pizza. We had a pizza to our own request and they did great. Update 5 17 23, we had slices and a side salad for lunch. It's a generous slice from a large pizza of which they had a good selection. Sometimes reheated pizza slices are better especially if you're a fan of thin or medium crust. It was great today. You usually don't have a 500+ degree pizza oven at home either. Recommended.
This was my first visit to Providence, I came for lunch and I was pleased to see that they have lunch specials. I got the two slice and soda combo for $10. The pizzas were a New York style pepperoni and a Detroit style pepperoni. The Detroit style was thick and crispy with a hint of sweetness to it. I actually enjoyed it and it reminded me of late nights at Joe's Pizza in Westport with the honey drizzle. The pepperoni for the Detroit style was thick cut and nicely charred.
Being from NY, I didn’t have high expectations for pizza in KC. But, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the flavor of the sauce and pizza is. I got the federal hill Sicilian square slice and it was crispy and buttery with a really nice meaty flavor. Their garlic knots were so good too.
Found myself in Grandview today. I’d been inside providence once before but didn’t eat; however, was drawn to the chill, relaxing, warm vibe inside, remembered how mouth-watering the pizza looked, and came back in to actually eat today. Halfway through my first slice, I was in lust. Halfway through my second slice, I was in love. Incredibly delicious. NY style served by the slice or can order a whole pie. I had the Buffalo chicken and Canadian bacon/pineapple/cream cheese…not sure their official respective names, but they were well worth their $4.50/slice price tag, whatever they’re called. I live in midtown, and would say this pizza is worth the drive to Grandview; fortunately, there’s a location in westport which I’ll be sure to go to from now on. Elevated pizza stand with grated Parmesan and red pepper flakes at the table, and a self-serve water station with napkins, utensils, etc. Order at front register then you’re on your own, which i prefer. they do serve alcohol for those inquiring minds. Bottom line? Cozy digs, great tasting pizza, fair price, good selection of pies, I’m definitely a fan. Vegetarian options: Cheese and margherita
