In August of 1852 Mr. Isaac Prugh began the Prugh Family business as a manufacturer of fine furniture, coffins, and cabinetry. The Prugh family became known for excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. Isaac Prugh passed the family business on to Burton Asbury Prugh in 1880. B.A. handed the family business down to his son Norval in 1909, who handed it down to Robert Burton Prugh Sr., who finally handed it down Robert Burton Prugh Jr. Burton Jr. worked with his Dad starting in 1971, and is the man who runs Prugh Funeral Service today. As one of Burlington's founding families and businesses, the Prugh family has maintained a strong commitment to serving the people of the Burlington area for more than five generations.
