I recently purchased a Sirloin Steak from this store.  It was so tough I could not chew it.                  
I had to use the excess steak for broth (along with beef bones) AND STILL DISCARD THE MEAT AS USELESS.                                                                
Florida is one of the highest producers of Beef.  Homestead is surrounded by agricultural producers.  When will Publix start supporting local growers and cattle producers & stop charging exorbitant prices for inferior foreign goods?
Stop bleeding customers dry for inferior meats and produce.  Shame on you!

It was pouring rain and while I was putting my grocery in my car, an employee (youngster) offer to help.  You don't see that, its felt so good.  You have kind good employees.

(UPDATED: IMPROVED) FROM 1 STAR TO 4 STARS; I WOULD GIVE IT A 5 IF IT HAD FOOD BARS! I wish I could rate this worse that a 1 star. I've been shopping here for over 5 yrs. Every time I enter the store for a 30 min shopping experience it turns to an hours long trip. I pull expired product off the shelves on each trip. Empty shelves, expired product, waiting around for employees to search the stock room for new product. Waste of time and money if you have to through food away because it expires a few days from purchase. Invest in a freezer and shop north of Homestead. Obviously Publix doesn't think highly of this community. They overlook the major growth Homestead has had since 2004. Yes it's ghetto as someone pointed out on a previous review but we don't mind it. There is the upper middle class and rich folks living in the Redlands they refuse to take into account. They shop there several times a week and spends hundreds weekly on groceries. Even if it is ghetto, everyone deserves quality food! 
****Follow up****
After complaining to corporate, I'm sure others complained as well, they brought in a new store manager. Within months of him taking over, the quality of food and service went from horrible to superb. My shopping trips are shorter and I buy more. Thank you Publix! Highly recommend this Publix.

Please do something about the expired products on the shelves, the rotted produce, and please don’t allow people to walk around the store and ask for money. I go to this store at least once a week and spend over $300 every time. Also I sometimes seem followed by a weirdo when I have my baby with me making me feel like they are attempting to kidnap, and I’m often asked for money while shopping by someone who claims to be “hungry”. Making my shopping experience NOT a pleasure.
 All these issues equal a horrible experience. 
On the positive side: The employees are usually nice. The meat department is great, fresh selections there.

I am currently waiting in a third line at this store...i am a frequent Publix shopper, but this location needs some help and development with customer service. I cannot say that my shopping experience has been a pleasure.  I had several orders placed and they weren't helpful and really seemed not to care or want my business, I have worked in customer service my whole life and I never post negative reviews, because everyone can have a bad day, but my overall experience with the 5 associates that helped me was awful.. And that's including management.
