My experience with Dr Puri and his staff was mostly positive. Of course, no doctor was ever on time for an appointment. LOL. But I found Dr. Puri to be highly competent, skilled and full of compassion. In addition, Christina, his nurse assistant, was very efficient and personable. All in all, you could not ask for a better orthopedic surgeon.

The receptionist is very rude. It is very difficult to speak to anyone or do business at this organization unless you go through an over the phone background check. Be prepared to state your name, organization, reason for you call, and specific reason why you want to speak to anyone. If it doesn't meet the standard of the receptionist, you will be told that the person you wish to speak with is not available.

Waiting for result for over a month. ..I make a call and ask what's going on....and no answer but will send the result to my doctor.. so I said so I guess I should of did this a month ago....you have to do your work for them..

Dr Puri is a great doctor. Staff can be a little rough tho

I went to Dr. Puri's office today to pick up a report for my mother and could not believe how rude everyone was. The girl working the front desk made me stand there for 5 minutes while she played on her phone before rudely asking if I needed something. Once she handed me the paper and I consulted with my mother via the phone we discovered that the doctor never even completed the report! He had the information for 2 months and all he did was fill out the wrong form! To make matters worse, the form was not even completed until today when my mother called to see when they had mailed the report. The sign in the office says paperwork should take 5-10 business days to be completed, or more if the doctor gets busy, so my mother gave them a month to get it done before she started calling. My mother was seen on December 13, 2010 and all we received was a copy of the doctors note (that wasn't even signed or on letterhead) and a form that wasn't supposed to be filled out (and filled out incorrectly). When I enquired as to where the report was that we had asked/paid for, I was told that we would have to pay another $75 fee and wait 2 more weeks! We now have to find another doctor and request an extension from the government because what we have is unacceptable. Dr. Puri told my mother he didnt want to see her in his office again unless she was going to have surgery and wouldn't do anymore reports for her even though he initially declared her disabled. I have never been dealt with so rudely by doctors or their staff and we will continue to go down to Loma Linda for all our medical care.
