I go to quality dairy all the time , this store I visit frequently. I find it to be very convenient and the staff here are friendly. At times the lines are long and you have to wait but other then that it is a good store!

I’ll tell you what…we’re becoming QD converts. J and I left Grumpy’s Diner on Mt. Hope and headed over to Cedar Street. J wanted something warm. These single digit highs are definitely not fun. We were heading towards McDonald’s on South Cedar when we came up to a Quality Dairy. J asked if they had coffee. I said I’m sure they did….I knew they had hot chocolate. She asked if I wanted a hot chocolate and I was so frozen I could barely answer, but I managed to unfreeze my jaw enough to say yes, so J said it it was better to support a local business than a McDonald’s and of course, I agreed. I made a quick right into the Quality Dairy parking lot. The particular Quality Dairy is on the corner of Cedar and Greenlawn Avenue. I don’t know if I’ve just never paid attention or of this store is bigger. We were in the market for something hot. I spotted the hot chocolate machine and grabbed a cup. Other than hot chocolate, they had flavored cappuccino, regular coffee and a few other coffee flavors. I went with a 20 oz. hot chocolate. J mixed the fat free vanilla cappuccino and hot chocolate in a little bit bigger cup. As we were topping off our drinks, we noticed the cookie/donut case. I’ve seen those at other Quality Dairy stores, but this might be the first time I’ve ever really looked at one. There were a lot of unique options and J kind of surprised me by not getting one. She had a look on her face like she saw something she liked, but she refrained from actually reaching in the case. As we were checking out, another baked good caught her eye. I don’t remember what it was, but she began salivating again, but again, passed and just paid for our drinks. The two drinks were just over two bucks. I don’t know what it is about hot chocolate, but I can’t drink the damn thing without burning my tounge. J says it’s the lids, but even when I take the lid off, I burn myself. I put it in my cup holder and waited until I got home and by then, it was cool enough to handle. I was skeptical at first. I couldn’t see what QD had over 7-Eleven, but the last few weeks, we’ve been stopping in a little more and I think I finally get it. If I’d just listen to the commentors that have spent their whole lives here instead of arguing with them that it’s just another convenience store, I would have found some more deliciousness much sooner.
