Nice comfortable clean room. Friendly staff and the quickest check in I have ever had. The only issue was lack of a shower curtain. I am sure that it was an oversight. Someone took it down to wash it ad didn't replace it. The staff apologized and seemed genuinely surprised. Breakfast was a little sub par even for a hotel breakfast.

Heater was broken, when I checked in the a/c was on high and trying to turn it to hear didn't work. Had to call twice to get someone to come check. 2nd shift attendant didn't call anyone like she said she would, and 10:20pm I called the front desk and he (3rd shift front desk) was unaware of the situation. Room was freezing, even noted by the front desk guy who came to check. He also noted that trying to turn the a/c to heat wasn't working. Couldn't get hold of his manager so he brought extra blankets. Bathroom was filthy with hairs all over the tub and the walls. Dead bugs in dorway to bathroom. Told front desk this morning and they apologized and made a note to get maintenance to look at the heater. Never had an experience like this before with Choice Hotels. I'd expect this from a 3rd rate motel, not a chain with an otherwise (in my opinion) great reputation- and a significantly higher price tag. I'll never go back to this one in Dubuque and I'll wan others.

Nice updated hotel. A little more effort in cleaning would be noticed. Dust lines around the floor trim and some hair noticed in the bathroom. Overall a good budget friendly location.

Price is good. But many items in hotel room broken or falling apart. Curtain rod falling off wall. Table light- lamp broken and hanging by the frame. Shower curtain ripped. I guess u get what u pay for.

The room was nice but the breakfast wasn't the best. The pool is a good size. There were lots of tv channels.
