Story

Incredible home to enjoy with family and friends! Each bedroom has it's own climate control. "Massage" quality spa hot tub, heated pool in three seasons. All the details to a relaxed and ultra comfortable stay!

Luxury bathrooms, towels, and bedding. LibraryRoom & Lounge seating area with Honor Bar, Private outdoor space with heated pool, massage hot tub and chase lounges etc.

Hosts Kevin and Julie reside on the property in separate living quarters. They are skilled in being present or absent according to your needs and desires.

The R&R guesthouse is located in the center of the city with walkable distance through neighborhoods to the downtown areas. Many of the points of interest are within a walks distance. Everything in the city is 5 min. or less by car.

Local Taxi service is available, Host Kevin can provide PDX shuttle service or daily outing shuttle service by arrangement. Leisure bicycles are provided. Road cycling in the area is phenomenal !

*Secure storage space for gear. Quiet when you want it, Music & Social when you want it.

No pets.
Children 10 and older (pool liability).
No Smoking. No Drugs.

We felt immediately at ease with hosts Kevin and Julie and their wonderful home.  Breakfasts were great and garnished with fresh local fruit, beds were very comfortable, and rooms air conditioned for the hotter parts of the day.  And then there is the amazing yard, pool, and hot tub which ended up being a great place to relax after hiking and exploring the area each day.

Kevin and Julie, the hosts are incredible and extremely welcoming. These accommodations are a gem in The Dalles. A beautifully, spacious , updated historic home. I highly recommend this as a place to stay to make your visit to The Dalles an experience. The beds are super comfortable and the backyard is a relaxing oasis. Great central location.

Wonderfully friendly hosts who anticipate your every need. Julie & Kevin run this guesthouse on a quiet street in the Dalles. The unassuming exterior opens to reveal a comfortable living room, modern kitchen and California-style back yard with high end massaging hot tub, pool, and beautiful landacaping. After a very comfortable night, Julie treated us to a homemade breakfast of eggs,  locally sourced sausage, fresh raspberries (in January!) and homemade muffins with blueberries. She was even able to accommodate my non gluten non dairy diet. A wonderful stay!

When we first pulled up to the front of the R & R Guesthouse, we were wondering if I had made a mistake, for it is a bed-and-breakfast located in an older middle-class neighborhood.  However, all doubts soon disappeared.  Owner-hosts Kevin and Julie greeted us a the front door and admitted us into a beautifully remodeled home that makes you feel comfortable immediately.  It is well appointed throughout, and Kevin & Julie are wonderful hosts with a knack for making you feel at home.  
As soon as we got settled in we came downstairs from our very  attractive bedroom suite to a couple bottles of very nice local wines and a cheese tray that we shared with Kevin and Julie as they explained the many attractions of the The Dalles-Hood River area.
The suites are spacious and comfortable with a number of thoughtful touches.   All three suites had shared access to a large bath equipped with a large Jacuzzi, a kerosene lantern and several candles.

There is a lovely patio,that we were unable to take advantage of because the weather was a bit too cool.

Kevin and Julie greeted us both days of our stay with an l breakfas. One morning featured a vegetable frittata prepared by Kevin and the next day breakfast featured wonderful French toast that Julie had topped with crushed hazelnuts.

We can’t recommend R & R highly enough and will certainly stay there again when we visit the area.
