This is an incredible place for ceramic artists and enthusiasts. It feels like free shared space at an art College, but with consistency and consideration for the shared nature of the space. I highly recommend getting a membership if you're an artist by trade or take a workshop with one of the many staff. You can really tell the space is loved. Please make a point to stop by and visit as well, you'll be able to see the space and stop by the free shelf.

I highly recommend taking painting classes with Jolyn Fry. She gives honest and informed feedback in a positive way, and seems to genuinely care about her students. Her easygoing nature puts students of all levels at ease with the painting process.

Lady Jane Meredith taught my boyfriend & I how to prepare and complete the screenprinting project we've been working on. We went on to get the info we need to start more projects, it was a lot of fun & we feel very comfortable at Radius, we'll be back.

I've taken two classes (drawing and painting) at Radius Art Studios--both from Jolyn--and they were the best art classes I've ever taken. I was super out of practice (it's been many a year since I picked up a pencil or paintbrush!), but Jolyn was very patient with me and struck a nice balance between giving general instruction to the whole class, and helping students individually. She really knows her stuff! Most importantly, Jolyn really encouraged and inspired me to get back into art, and make time for it in my life. Radius is centrally located, has great resources, and is a nice space to work in! Now to browse the rest of their class listings...
