Raggedy Anne Learning Center is a learning program that is based on a fun and exciting approach to pre-K education.

Story

The first years of a child’s life are the most formative. When children must be away from their parents, it is important that they have a positive and enriching experience with teachers and peers. Here at Raggedy Anne Learning Center, we strive to provide this positive experience while also providing children with opportunities to learn.

However, children are able to fully develop in academic areas only when certain emotional gains have been made. Our main goal is to build a positive self-image in every child. Children who know who they are, have positive self-esteem are able to work well with others and tend to be more successful students. Our teachers provide a warm and secure atmosphere for each child, always treating them with dignity and respect.

Raggedy Anne Learning Center is a family-operated business that has been serving the Elmhurst area since 1970. Our small class sizes will insure that your child gets the one-on-one attention that he or she deserves.

Among educational opportunities and a positive atmosphere, Raggedy Anne's full-day program also includes a hot lunch catered by Quality Catering for Kids, a nutritious morning and afternoon snack, and naptime. We also have many fun events scheduled around the year such as Bike Day, a field trip to York Theater, the Jungle Bus and Pool Days during the summer!

We have three rooms in which the children play and learn:
Red Room (2 year olds)
Yellow Room (3-4 year olds)
Blue Room (4-5 year olds)

Each room provides pre-K education specific to the childrens' ages. For instance, Red Room students work on identifying shapes and colors, Yellow Room students learn the alphabet and Blue Room students begin to work on reading and writing.
