My family is Liberian and I was craving some good african food. My friend reccomended this restaurant and I tried it for the first time today. The food was awesome! I had Fufu and Peanut soup and a order of Palm Nut soup. The fufu nice and soft, both soup was very tasty and seasoned. Each entry is enough for two or three servings. I wish the meat in the soups were cut smaller, they both had three large portion, but was very good. I will definitely return and try something else. The lady behind the counter was also friendly and helpful. I give them 4 stars, took of one because of the meat portions but excellent food
All the raving reviews about the food are undeniable. HOWEVER the customer service.. I placed my order before arriving because I drove almost 2 hours to go check this restaurant out. When I arrived young lady I’m assuming the same one everyone complains about in the reviews looked at my order made a face and walked away. She then came back again services a few more customers and said she’ll be back… 45 minutes later someone else noticed I had been standing there for a while and asked what my order was … then notified me that they had run out of certain foods and that was cause of the delay. Overall the jollof was perfect not spicy and the goat meat was delicious / not too dry or though. The fried rice was also great. The bofrot is a MUST have but I think the meat in the meat pie had spoiled or maybe it was sitting out a little too long so I didn’t reallly get to experience it. The food was REALLY yummy and I would love to get it again but I don’t know if I want to drive 2 hours just to wait 45 minutes for an order pick up meal
We ordered on phone and our food was ready by the time we got there - in less than 15min. Operationally efficient, clean and friendly staff. They take various forms of payment from cash to cards. You can decide to dine-in or take away. Enough parking available. I was very impressed by the service and food. Totally worth the visit.
i really wanted to like this place because the food I’ve tried on multiple occasions actually taste really good but because of repeated bad customer service by some people, and questionable food safety/cleanliness, and extremely long wait times/disorder during busy hours… i have to give it a no. not worth trying anymore. a shame because its hard to find good west african restaurants in that area. recommend trying when its not busy
Rahama’s is consistent with making unbelievably delicious food! I’ve tried many items from their menu and am always satisfied! I’ve only ordered food online and no issues. Great food portions also!
This is true Ghanaian food! The food was amazing, the hospitality was perfect and Mama Haija made us laugh the whole time. Will definitely be coming back. We ordered to go at first but decided to stay and enjoy our food there. Excellent excellent excellent! A LOT of food! We couldn’t finish it all!
Because of this restaurant I became lazy in a good way cooking food, lovely atmosphere, friendly service and staff. I eat there twice a week more than 2 years now , so if I said good food believe me. Fufu with peanut soup with goat, jollof, waakye are our best friends in that restaurant.
Great food, but terrible customer service, but it’s really just one staff member who wears a red bonnet I’ve had issues with repeatedly. One time I arrived, she continued to answer the phone and take customers after I walked in to pick up food, so eventually I realized imma have to act skip the line and be loud to be serviced. I actually stopped coming as much as I used to because just about EVERY time I come to pick up food, I get irritated by her attitude. Yesterday, I tried using Uber eats but they seem to no longer use it. So I had to go and pick up my food, only to be met with attitude because the cashier “didn’t see” my order even after I showed her my name and order number on the receipt. She finally went to the back again and brought me the food and said a simple “sorry” and went back to what she was doing. The boys who are at the register from time to time always make me laugh or smile when I come to get my food, but with her I always get attitude.
So I came across this place by chance. Really wanted some international food preferably African food. I had Fufu for the first time here. I was recommended to ordered the fufu and goat meat okro stew. Can I say it was out of this world. The amount of food I had for the price is unbeatable. It wasn't overly seasoned or spicy. It was perfect. I left feeling great too. I usually want dessert after such great meals but this time it was different. I didn't need that sugar rush. This meal was its own rush. Lol
Family friendly restaurant. Staff are very professional the atmosphere is very homely. The food was great they got me wanting more. If you've never had African dishes they got you. They explain every detail of how the food is prepared and cooked. Highly recommended!
