Quite pleased with our visit to the Railroaders Museum! Had no idea this gem even existed right under our noses (we live it Clearfield). Highly recommended. Very professionally done!

We do a lot of museums and history, and this one was one of the best! Good for adults, children, families. Very well laid out, there are three stories of informative (and many interactive) exhibits on local town life, engineering and mechanics, politics and unions, science lab tests, advertisements and hospitality, technology, and more. We spent two full hours and only read about 1/3 of the information on the signs and displays. I didn't even see any of the 3 movies they have playing in the theatre, or anything outside (it was raining). They have tons of eye-witness accounts and journals copied and displayed, along with real tools and technology items. A bit pricey at $11, but if you are at all interested in trains or Victorian life and travel or Altoona history, this is a place you must go. My father-in-law knows trains, and even he learned some new things from this museum.

Fairly cheap and a good place to go for a family. Has a lot of history about the surrounding area and a really nice gift shop. Lots of old trains and history in there.

If you love to see and learn about trains and the history of Altoona railroad, they have 3 floors and outside to explore. $11 to get in and free admission to the horseshoe curve with it. Great time, great people.

Great history of the area, or if you just like trains. Lots to see outside and in. The cars outside are in disrepair, would be nice to see what they look like restored. This museum is a nice addition to Horseshoe Curve, if you weren't planning on going to see it, go, it worth it.
