This has been "my" grocery store for 25 years. It is very convenient, and at least a third of the customers walk, bike, or bus to the store. The best part is the staff. There is a core of long-time employees who are so nice and so willing to go the extra mile that they keep me coming back. Very sad to hear that the store may be closing! That will mean the only reasonable Rainbow Foods for me would be the Quarry, and that place is a madhouse. I guess I'll go to Cub, if they close "my" Rainbow. :-(

I have been coming here for 10+ years, rather blindly, because it is so close to my house.  I actually dont mind the cashiers except some of them are extremely slow.  The cashiers have also been known to forget to use your coupons and then having already scanned your check, you lose.  The main problem here is the ridiculous, RIDICULOUS lines.

I see it as bad management.  If you go to the rainbow @ Quarry Center, you will NEVER see a line.  And they have automatic check out.  IF you go to target 10 blocks north, you will not wait in a line of more than 2 customers.  If you go to THIS rainbow, be prepared to wait in line with 4+ people, many on food stamps, many with multiple coupons (many of which do not work), and its not uncommon to witness an argument between the cashier and the customer ~ in this case, don't expect that someone will open an extra lane!

Always waiting in line to check out! They have to be making money because the lines are long. They just don't want to hire more help.
