We have been coming to Rainbow Lake for years. My husband's family first came here over 60 years ago. This is a family tradition. It is a quiet, peaceful, family oriented place to fish, relax, unwind.  You can go into Buena Vista for groceries or to shop, whitewater raft or horseback ride nearby, take a short trip to Leadville or Breckenridge,  but you will look forward to coming back to Rainbow Lake. There is also a delightful gift shop on site at the lodge.

The location is beautiful and the activities are great. Overall the experience is very positive. The only downsides I have are that the walls in the joined cabins are thin and not very noise canceling and the internet connection is virtually nonexistent. This could be an upside to some though.

The cabins were clean and beautiful. The furniture was a little old and worn down. You can wall to the lake to fish. It was a very good experience

My favorite place.  Quiet, private,  remote.  No WiFi in the cabins....I love that! ....Cabins are rustic and delightful.   Caretakers are terrific,  they care about you and your family and your time.  It's wonderful.
