This was a good choice for a light lunch. The chicken salad was really good. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. There are about 20 signs that say NO CELL PHONE USE or asking you to power off your phone, I found this. Obviously, I did use my phone to obtain pictures to be able to leave this good review.Food: 5/5
I never like to criticize a venue but this one was terrible in their setup to host a lively band…Soul Legit. I didn’t have a reservation so was told I had to sit my with a young lady at her table. I refused and sat at the bar. Didn’t mind the $10 cover and 2 drink minimum, even though it was $33 for two drinks. Asked to remove my hat and needed a code for the restroom. Their dinner may be nice didn’t eat, but going there to listen to a great band that plays at so many laid back venues, no.
Have been attending shows here since almost the beginning. This place is perfect for a date night, night cap, or just to enjoy some good music. Food is delicious and the staff are some of the nicest in the area. Downtown Greenville best “secret” spot!Food: 5/5
The drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, the band playing the night we went were extremely entertaining. I had a ball. The owner is a very gracious host. 10 out of 10 experience.Food: 5/5
No cell phones are allowed in the restaurant, so there are no pictures. The food is great, and salad is the best. We were in town for 4 days and ended up coming back 2 more times. Service is fast and efficient, they have online ordering, I can't report on that because we didn't use that service.Food: 5/5
I can’t believe I haven’t tried this little spot before. A friend and I went for lunch and it was great! Walking distance from everything in downtown Greenville, and quick service for a sit down restaurant, this place is convenient. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend.
Found this place earlier this year and the foo dis absolutely amazing! The sandwiches are huge and the deserts are definitely made with love. Perfect place to unplug and just enjoy a lunch with friends and family distraction free.Food: 5/5
Disappointing Experience Due to Discriminatory Behavior My wife and I recently dined at Rainer’s Cafe hoping for a delightful lunch in Downtown Greenville. However, our experience was marred by unwarranted rudeness and discriminatory behavior from the manager, Candy. The incident began when my wife took a bite of her pulled pork sandwich and noticed that it did not taste right. Instead of addressing the issue with empathy and professionalism, Candy immediately adopted a hostile attitude. She informed us that even if my wife chose not to eat the sandwich, we would still be charged for it. This response was not only rude and obnoxious but also reflected a complete lack of customer service skills. What was particularly disappointing was the underlying tone of discrimination that seemed to permeate the interaction. As an interracial couple, we have unfortunately encountered such attitudes before. However, we never expected to face such blatant discrimination in a supposedly inclusive and welcoming establishment. Additionally, bit my wife and I are retired from the Army after serving 20+ years. It is disheartening to see that in this day and age, there are still individuals like Candy who choose to treat customers based on their personal biases rather than providing the respectful and courteous service that every patron deserves. Finally, our experience at Rainers Cafe was deeply disappointing, primarily due to the unprofessional behavior and discriminatory treatment from the manager, Candy. We hope that the owner. Bee takes this feedback seriously and works towards creating a more inclusive and respectful environment for all customers. This manager does not belong in the service industry and I sincerely hope that she is not a reflection of ownership.
Perfect place for a quick and yummy lunch. Plenty of seating, friendly staff and lots of street parking. Highly recommend the warm turkey brie croissant with the pasta salad. The cafe is decorated with some very creative art that is for sale.
Loved the little biscuits. They were really small and not what I was expecting but so good and buttery and I think they were cooked on a grill or open fire. I will be taking those to the next event I attend. Staff and atmosphere was also really nice.Food: 5/5
