Rapture is a mixed bag. Upstairs there is pool, downstairs there is pool, tables, a bar and a sort of dance floor. The place charges a lot for renting the pool tables but at least they have many available. The mixed drinks are meh but normal pricing and the service is pretty fast. I dislike the dance floor a lot since it is an area people walk through to get to the bathroom, and also people just have a high tendency to spill drinks or break glasses in the dance floor area which is not my scene. Tuesday is karaoke which is an absolute blast so definitely check that out, there are some very funny regulars.

Rapture appreciates the diversity of Charlottesville. The new chairs outside and new pool felt are good signs of improvement and of the owners making sure they invest in their business to keep their patrons happy. Bartenders, wait staff, and kitchen staff are all on point and good people. We love the staff literally like family... You also won't find better management on the mall anywhere, period. Their wings are fantastic (as is the vast majority of their menu) and the fries are second to none. Sometimes they close up early for private parties, which can be frustrating when you're looking for music and dancing in a town sorely lacking avenues for both. Still, it will always be our Cheers.

Downtown landmark. At night a great place for music, pool and the dark (formerly smokey) bar scene that people know and return for. Also an excellent place to have a chef prepared meal in the front side of the space.

First time in Charlottesville and just happen to come in to eat. We were impressed! Great food and the servers were friendly and the service they provided was excellent!

I went with friends today for brunch. I had Eggs Benedict with grits. The service is wonderful and the food is delicious. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. Locally sourced. The coffee is strong - always important. We had a great time, with a lovely brunch! I would gladly eat here again.
