I don't agree with the recent bad reviews of this place. For the money (and it was a bargain even for Scranton) the accommodations were clean and tidy. I was in town for a wedding and the staff let me check in early at no additional cost. Are there better hotels in Scranton?...sure, but not at this price. Stayed one night and it was more than adequate. If you're looking for a decent and safe hotel at an affordable rate this is your place.

My husband and I need a place to rest while on the road, the Red Carpet Inn & Suites was convenient and reasonably priced. I was sleeping and I woke up to burning on my arm, then itching on my back. I woke my husband who said I had a line of bumps on my arm and back. I turned on all the lights and sat on the bed and that's when I saw a small black bug crawling in and out of the pillowcase! We left. The clerk did offer us another room, but I just asked for a refund. I'm not saying there's an infestation but beware there is bedbugs in room #243.

Decent enough. Clean, reasonable amenities, everything in the room worked, room was a decent enough size. Not exactly fancy but not a dump either.

Worst hotel experience I've yet to have. Dirty rooms, broken air conditioning, rude employees, the list goes on and on. Spend a bit more money and treat yourself to anywhere but this place...

The place was just okay. Nothing was great. Room seemed clean enough but breakfast room was dirty. Staff looked like they didn't want to be there.
