I don't even like going out for take out chinese or express asian but this place with it's odd blend of asian cuisine and classic diner vibes has me returning every so often. The food is surprisingly on point. For what it is and the price point it's at I'd say it's a solid eatery.

Great food and selection. Food is fresh and well seasoned. Have not ordered Chinese takeout since dining here.

I first tried Red Ginger when we moved into the area, 2 years ago. This is by far the best of all the Chinese / Asian restaurants in the area. I've never had an MSG headache after eating from here (unlike the place a little further down Larkfield.) And this is what sealed it for me: I once asked about requesting off-menu dishes, and the owner said "no problem, tell me what you'd like". I responded with a list of mixed vegetables including water chestnuts and she said "we don't carry canned vegetables, only fresh vegetables". That sealed the deal for me. You get what you pay for, and the food here is excellent. My wife sometimes gets food on her way home with the kids, and the owner told her to call and they'll bring the food out, so she doesn't have to deal with two kids and car seats etc. If you've got young children, you understand. Maybe it's because we're regulars, maybe it's because they're just really nice and accommodating. Either way, we've been eating from here regularly for two years, and have never been disappointed.

food is excellent - giving them 3 stars - do to the fact the there have been menu changes which they neglect to inform you of when placing an order .ordered the Chicken Lettuce Wrap for 9.25 description - "minced chicken, ginger, scallions over crispy rice sticks," when I picked up the order it was only diced chicken - they said the other items listed on there menu /website were a mistake and the menu changed .
