Went to Red Lobster while I was on spring break. I haven't been there in awhile and the food last time wasn't good. Nor was the service but this was a different location. The server was wonderful, and the food came out hot. Now if you haven't been in awhile get ready to spend some money. Their prices have gone up a person can spend starting around maybe 15 to 18 dollars and go up to 48 dollars and this doesn't include your salad nor drink. Happy eating
Food wasn't very good. Service was good. And way too expensive.Food: 2/5
the tiny meal depicted is called Surf and Turf, and its $39.99+ decent time of 17 minutes, although I waited at least 5 before they came and talked to me. disappointed with the proportions of the main entree. On top of that, I ordered a medium steak and even made a comment saying, "Better undercooked than over," in which the order taker replied, "I feel you on that." Then they came back and asked me again how I wanted it cooked. I reiterated, "Better to undercook it than over cook it, but I'd like a medium." Well done is what I got....perhaps I complicated matters by using extra words. on a positive note, the staff was genuinely friendly, and the manager gave me a free drink while I waited.
The food was great however I gave 4 stars because there was only one server working all the tables. I think he did a pretty good job considering he was trying to manage so many tables by himself. The restaurant needs better management.Food: 5/5
The lady that greeted us when we walked in the door was fantastic our server was excellent she kept checking on us making sure we had drinks and asking if we needed anything. Our server also was very efficient and cordial she brought us to go boxes and I asked for another drink but she saw that I was pretty much done so she bought me a drink and a to go cup and I loved that. The food was good I tried the Lobster Dip and my friend got the soups salad and biscuits all you can eat. She had chowder and it was really good she had two bowls. It was a really good experience I hadn't been there in a while I'll definitely come back Parking: Parking was plentiful and there were handicapped spots directly in front of the door Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room for children and families
The food was well prepared and tasty. The waiter was attentive. A good selection of food items. I was pleasantly surprised as it has been my experience lately that chain restaurants often do not live up to their reputation, but Red Lobster on the visit did very well.Recommended dishes
This is the absolute worst Red Lobster we ever visited, not sure how this one even stays in business. Maplewood Mo. location. “Tried” to eat there on Feb 19 2024. It wasn’t busy at all, that should have been our first clue. Waited a while to get water and teas…nothing fancy. Ordered stuffed mushrooms along with our meal. Took approx 30 minutes to get the mushrooms and they were room temperature cold. Took me 15 minutes to find the waitress to tell her and she said “the manager already noticed and put in for a fresh order.” About 5 minutes later a new order of stuffed mushroom came to the table and they were even colder that the original order…these were literally straight out of the refrigerator the dang cheese wasn’t even melted. Found the manager and told her we are leaving and no longer want to eat at there. At that time our food was being brought to the table. The waitress heard the conversation with the manager and acted surprised that we didn’t want to continue to dine with them. Then had the nerve to say the the Mac and cheese we ordered was burning her hand and needed to set it down. I told her to set it in the table and she gave me the dirtiest go to hell look. We left and drove over to Olive + Oak and had a beautiful and amazingly delicious meal at about the same cost as Red Lobster. Never again will I set foot in that location.
Our party of 7 went to the Maplewood location for my belated birthday celebration. The parking lot was so empty we thought they were closed. As we entered, it was evident something was wrong, because the dining room was empty except for 2 customers waiting at the bar. We waited about 10 minutes at the hostess station until an employee brought us some menus and announced that the meals would have to be takeout. We decided to order anyway. The young man who waited on us at the bar was very courteous and welcoming. It was apparent that they need responsible staff in all areas from dishwasher to chefs. I am not faulting the non-existent staff or Red Lobster for this occurrence as I don't know all of the facts. I would hate to lose another long established restaurant in this area, that does offer good meals. I had the Salmon Soy dinner with rice, salad, grilled Brussel sprouts and it was delicious!!
My family went to Red Lobster and the food was perfect. On my recent visit, it was very busy. We noticed Ciara the manager came to check on us and other guest. Being personable and friendly and helpful really makes you feel good about dining out. A smiling face and a great personality, makes a great experience. Will definitely keep coming back!
It was 15 of us from out of state trying to celebrate a relatives birthday they had a 6per table sign up. We asked could we at least sit in the same area but different waiters? We were told yes. The first 6 were seated. Then another worker said no we couldn't be seated together and got the supervisor. In which she said she'd seat another 6 on the other side of the store and the rest had a hour wait. And we're free to leave if we didn't agree with it. She was so disrespectful we left
