Great atmosphere, we sat outside in the courtyard. Surrounded by plants and a fountain in the middle. I tried the beef brisket enchilada and it was decent but on the smaller portion. My wife tried the salad with pulled pork. It was a good salad, quality lettuce and other items. The pork was a little salty. We had the empanadita appetizer which had a great sauce, but was very small. Not worth the price. Abbi was our waitress and she was very friendly and good service.
Great food! I had shrimp with Cilantro lime rice. It was delicious . My friends had a ginormous Burrito and Zucchini mushroom enchiladas. Both said it was good. Plus a Raspberry Basil mocktail. That was REALLY good. Would have been nice to have some chips to snack on while waiting for our food. But no, you only get what you order.Food: 5/5
Came in for a family lunch and was disappointed that, even with open tables outside, there was a 20 minute wait or seats available right away inside. We chose inside as we had our kids and didn’t want to wait. Service was friendly and fast. Tacos were okay and I expected a bit more from them for a Mexican Restaurant. Queso was mediocre but the highlight of the meal was my wife’s Peruvian Chicken Entree. Kids meals were priced right and good portions. Also been here for a wedding reception a year ago and they did a great job with that. Overall recommend place in downtown St. Pete.
Stopped here directly after a 4 hour drive. The atmosphere caught my attention immediately. Magical is a good way to describe it. Kinda got adult Disney vibes. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Our waiter was as well. The cocktails hot the spot. We tried several margaritas, and they were all fantastic. The food wasn't the most memorable, but we ate it all with no complaints, and it hit the spot. Will definitely be coming back.
We planned a wedding here and this is such a fun and unique venue! The views are amazing on the rooftop, the food was phenomenal, and the staff were super helpful to help execute this wedding. Looking for a fun and relaxing space just use the upstairs rooftop area - they even have an indoor space for reception as well which is very aesthetically pleasing. Photos by: Sarah Marie Photography
Great bowls and atmosphere. Courtney served us so well, no empty drinks, always filling them up and checking on us. Definitely recommend. It was family friendly. Kid-friendliness: Kids Menu
Absolutely delicious! And the service staff was beyond helpful! We started outside but the temp seemed to drop and we asked to move inside and they didn't hesitate at all to move all of our food and beverages to an indoor table. The food was amazing - we even ended up buying a shirt!Food: 5/5
We had our wedding there. Great venue and a lot was included with booking it here. The open bar package was a great deal. The bartenders and wait staff were incredible. They helped make the day perfect. I highly recommend having your event here. In addition, the restaurant is also really good!Food: 5/5
Spent the day in St Pete and had lunch at the Ref Mesa Cantina. It was a great lunch. The atmosphere at the restaurant was fun and the day was breezy enough to sit outdoors. Our friend ordered the picadillo with black beans and rice and he absolutely loved it. He said the picadillo was seasoned to perfection and very tasty, as well as the black beans and rice. My husband ordered the cheese enchiladas and he said they were amazing. I ordered the cheese quesadillas which came with guacamole and tomatoes. I added both to the quesadillas and I have to say they were yummy! The entrees had plenty of food, enough to bring home. If you are in the area this is a must try. Oh…make sure to order the fried yuca! To die for. Crispy and tasty.
We went here on Saturday evening for dinner. We asked to be seated at the patio and enjoyed the charming outside ambience. We both ordered a drink, me a margarita classic and he a Modelo. We also got chips and queso and the mofongo. Both came out quickly and were delicious! For main meal we got 2 each of tacos Al a carte. We chose to try the poke taco and the duck taco. Both were very pretty and flavorful. Overall we had a good experience and will go again as there are more menu options I want to try. Things of note, all parking in the area costs regardless of street side or garage. The men's restroom is up a spiral staircase. I don't know if they have a elevator. The ladies and family bathroom is near the bar.
