Welcome Red Ribbon to Bakeshops community in Silver Spring, MD. A new good choices for sweet fans to try. It is interesting that they have different styles and flavors of cakes and pastries from others bakery shops in this area as Red Ribbon is a Filipino bakery. I had Rocky Road slice cake and Choco Mocha Crunch slice cake. They were tasty and not too sweet. Service was fine. Anyway, the interior is quite simple but new and clean. Besides desserts, there are some Filipino traditional dishes/meals offer for customers with a few dine in tables too. Also sell various flavors bread packages. I didn't try yet but maybe next time.
Visited this store on my bday! The store was clean and impressive, so i gave atmosphere a "5". I got me a cake, 2 bags each of empanada, ensaymada and mamon. They had a promo of buy 6 get 1. The server was slow and not smiling, and i have to repeat my orders 3x, hence service was "1". When i got home, all the freebies had molds in them, and had expired UTD. The reason i gave food "1". That would be my first and last visit. Sorry...
They have great selection of Ensaymada flavors. The line is long and slow registers. Parking is scarce at this location, however you’ll do whatever you can to satisfy your craving for baked goods. They advertised a great poster of Halo-halo, but they’re out of it at mid afternoon.
The food was great and reasonably priced. IMO, the palabok here is better than the one in the Jollibee just down the road. The arroz caldo was also delicious. The place was very clean and welcoming, though space small with only a few tables and chairs for customers. The only complaint we have is the parking, which is very limited but that's out of Red Ribbon's control. The best part I would say is the customer service. We came here to put in a huge order as presents for our American friends, and the supervisor, Ms. Judy, and her crew went out of their way to accomodate us while still being able to take care of other customers. Kudos and Happy Holidays! Parking: Very limited slots, go here early in the morning or during off hours.
This is the first time i’ve gone to Red Ribbon at this location and I wasn’t disappointed… the supervisor Ms Judy Anne was very nice, polite and friendly. There was a promo that if you buy a palabok family pack you have 3 choices to choose from; palabok with triple chocolate roll, palabok with 3 empanada and etc.. so I ordered palabok with cake roll but I prefer for a different flavor of cake roll, so I asked Judy if she can swap triple chocolate to mocha roll because it is my daughter’s birthday and her favorite is mocha roll… with no hesitation she gave me what I want only because it is my daughter’s bday but of course their promo will stick to triple chocolate roll no more exception .. but overall the place was very nice and clean and the staff are friendly and respectful to all of their customers … it’s worth the drive from a long distance just to go to this place.. hoping that the staff will remain friendly and welcoming to everyone who crave for some sweet treats especially if you miss your home country.. keep it up!! My best regards to you Ms Judy Anne! Hope to see you again
So glad Red Ribbon has a branch in Maryland. No more long drives to Philly, VA beach, NY, and NJ. Located at Wheaton, Silver Spring they opened I believe a couple of weeks ago. Typical long lines for a new location is expected. Should taper off in a few weeks. Love their signature cakes and rolls, and pastries, meals and cold desserts. Parking is not easy at this location, however there are free parking around, just need patience to find it. Food never disappoints, good service, for sure we will be regular customers.
Finally able to try this new taste from home. I’m excited and feeling’s nostalgic, and it did not disappoint. Wish they have a bigger space so we can enjoy our food without people looking over our food, it’s a tighter space. Parking is as expected, I suggest get there early to get the best spot. Food is great and they ran out of ensaymada and chicken empanadas… will try again next time. Overall, great experience. Staff are friendly and courteous.
Came in on a Monday to buy a cake from my birthday the next day. The cake selection was disappointing, apparently their cake delivery only comes once a week on a Wednesday. I was hoping on grabbing the Sansrival cake, they only had what they had on the display. No cheesy mamon, only Mocha. No regular enseymada, just Ube and Yema. Grabbed a slice of Choco Mocha Crunch and a whole Ube Overload cake. Ate the slice at the store, I think the individual slice is smaller than a slice you’d actually get from a whole cake cut equally. The Ube cake is so mid… idk how a cake can be so dry outside and sopping inside not moist at the same time, I think these were delivered frozen and thawed in the fridge to sell. Idk man, not the experience I was hoping…
Popular Filipino bakery, had to wait for 30 minutes in queue to order. They were sold out on their best selling mango cake, would suggest to grab that sooner in the day. Free parking can be hard to find, can use paid street parking.
Yummy! The place to go Great selection of their well-known pastries. Mango cake is melt to the mouth yumminess!!! Can't wait to taste every cake they offer. Kid-friendliness: Kids will enjoy the food here.
