The friendly staff is about the only thing this place has going for it. If it wasn't for the nice staff checking us in this would be a one star review. The room we were in had a cracked window and either very thing walls or exceptionally loud people above and below us. The location is fine but don't plan on walking to anything in town.

The hotel was perfect for the amout we spent. The room was clean & well stocked. The staff were very nice and helpful. Over all we had a good experience and would stay again.

Friendly, helpful front desk staff. Room was clean and ready. Wi-fi where I was was pretty reliable. Bathroom was clean and adequately supplied. They had supplied a power strip next to the desk, which compensated for limited accessible wall outlets. This was a good value, and it was fully booked.

Horrible. Just don't. Tried to overcharge me and put multiple holds on my credit union account. If we didn't catch it and verbally tell the front desk to fix it, we may have been stuck paying over $300 more than necessary. Even after we checked out, they tried to put another $50 worth of holds on our account. Put us in the red with our bank and put a dark cloud over our 3 day vacation in Monterey. But wait....there's more! When we first arrived they tried to put us on the 2nd floor even though we requested a 2 queen bed handicap accessible room when we booked through a 3rd party website and there were none left. We ended staying in Rm 108 a regular 1 king bed with a roll away (they waived the $25 fee) on the first floor that was dark, dingy and depressing. We were then able to switch to a 2 queen bed room (still not handicap accessible though) that was recently remodeled, spacious, and clean. The stay would have been nice if we had this room to start and didn't feel like we had to monitor our bank account and have them on speed dial for all the attempted overcharging. If you must come here pay in cash. There's a fine line between their system's "issues" and credit card fraud.

Hotel was older but room was clean & rates are reasonable. On a personal note Mary was very helpful, a real gem!
