Best footwear period but limited selection ...                 The bottom of the boots wear eventually and i think on purpose by Red Wing so you'll have to buy another pair eventually, anyway great boots, very comfortable..   Peace...  wook40.............................

Small store with little inventory and the staff could not be bothered to assist you properly and professionally.  I have been to other Wed Wing stores and was treated a lot better.  I guess I'll have to drive all the way to the other store and hope their customer service is worth the long drive.

I can definitely say that this trip was a lot better than the last two times I visited this store.  This time I was greeted and assisted by Ermogene in a professional and courteous manner.  Being that I was in sales for a long time, it is important to me to be treated in a way that the associate makes me feel welcomed into the store.  She measured my feet and explained what was on the screen and told me the differences between the boots and how they are designed for specific types of jobs.  Even though they didn't have the style of boot I need/want, I was given several sizes to try on, that were of a similar style to those that I would be ordering.  I finally found a size that was comfortable and wore them in the store.  She also explained how their insoles are designed to help each person depending on how the foot scan came out.  I tried two different pair of inserts and noticed a definite difference in the arch support and the plain insert that comes with the boot.

Even though I have to wait 7-10 days on the boots to be delivered, I am highly satisfied with Ermogene the Red Wing store in Metairie, La.  This will be my second pair of RW's, so I believe that I will continue the family tradition.

First of all, if you are used to buying cheap shoes that you have to replace every six months or so, stop reading this and go on being ignorant about your feet. For everyone else, let's get serious.
Red Wing is committed to make sure you get the right shoe and the right fit for your job. Their work boots are without peer. Each one designed specifically for their intended purpose. 
When you go in, they will measure your foot in many ways, both length and width, but also weight distribution. If you buy in to their system you will come out with a boot that will last and will be comfortable while serving it's intended purpose, no matter what your job and working conditions are.
As for their Heritage line which is designed to mimic styles and trends of yesteryear, while giving you a handmade, goodyear welted, made in the U S of A, totally rebuildable, custom fitting boot that will make you feel like the best dressed guy (or girl) in the room,  you can be sure that footwear made like it was 100 or so years ago will last you a good long time. Making them an incredible value, no matter the cost.
These are made with the most beautiful leather that comes out of Red 
Wing. Get some Heritage boots , they are like Lays potato chips, you can't have just one pair.
