I have used Reddaway for years to haul nursery stock (trees and shrubs).  Today they claimed that they don't ship live plants.  I even had a quote for a shipment ready to ship today but they still claimed they dont ship live plants.  
I called customer service and they claimed they will ship them but then the freight quote department would not give me a quote.  
I have shipped live trees with Reddaway for over a decade, several shipments per year.  Not anymore.  Terrible service!

I got a quote of $310.59 to ship a 300 pound test bench.  The weight was a guestimate, as they were supposed to weigh the package.  They just picked it up and didn’t tell me the weight or even if they weighed it

My buyer sent the quoted amount and I thought everything was OK.  Four weeks later Reddaway sends me a bill that I owed an additional $184.05.  I can’t go after my buyer because he sent the agreed upon amount.  So now I’m out $184 because of Reddaway’s ‘bait and switch’ tactics.  This is no way to do business.

As it turned out the package weighed 55 pounds more than our estimate.  I would have been willing to up my amount that the buyer was to pay if I had known about the weight difference.  But they charged me $26.20 for reweighing, $29 more for a single shipment, and $98.26 more for a fuel surcharge, plus $30.59 for who knows what.

Their representative was totally uncooperative.
