Welcome to the official Redding Police Department page on Facebook. This page will be used to publish Redding Police News, inform the pubic during disaster/emergency incidents, improve information exchange between RPD and the public, and share details about wanted criminals, public safety tips, and missing persons.

This page was made possible by a collaborative volunteer effort by RPD, Optimize Worldwide, and Sugar Pine Media.

We encourage public comments, but reserve the right to remove any posts that we find inappropriate. Any comment submitted to this page may be considered a public record which is subject to disclosure pursuant to the California Public Records Act. Public information requests must be directed to the City Public Information Officer.

Please do not post external links or URLs. Repeated posting of inappropriate materials will result in a ban from the Redding Police page on Facebook.

Examples of inappropriate include but are not limited to: ethnic slurs; profanity; material that is harassing, defamatory, fraudelent, discriminatory or sexually explicit; material that infringes copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights and; material that is submitted for marketing, promotion, or for other purposes that fall outside the scope of addressing public safety issues.

This is not a forum to report a crime or inquire about ongoing investigations. Comments or requests of this nature will not be followed up on.
