As someone whose own job is very customer service related, I tend to be extremely picky with the people I choose to help my family with our personal transactions. If I see someone professional, pro-active, thorough, courteous and intelligent, I hold on pretty tight as it's not very often people like that come around.
Such is the case with William Ortiz from Redfin. All these traits that place him in the highest ranking order of real estate brokers exemplify one simple and stellar characteristic: He Loves His Job.
He has this instinct when it comes to what people want, what people THINK they want and what really works for them. He knows how to delicately yet firmly, guide you in the right direction. You feel safe with William. There's a sincerity in his actions. He understands that this is one of the most important and overwhelming decisions of your (and your family's) life. 
Also, he's patient. Patient to a degree that requires praise. As potential buyers, were all over the map and very indecisive, for a LONG time. We kept shifting our requirements and got to a point where we felt frustrated and had lost sight of the end game. 
Before I even realized where we were emotionally, William sensed our exasperation and (unprompted) called us and spent tons of time discussing our expectations and helping us clarify our needs. 
I could spend hours reviewing William's impeccable handling of every situation in our home search and purchase but it would likely end up the length of a short story!
Therefore, to keep this short and sweet (well, sort of), I don't think we will every use another real estate broker every again.
